Overview

Congress Stock Tracker ("we", "us", or "the site") publishes congressional stock trading data compiled from public filings made under the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit congressstock.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the site to be usable without creating an account or providing any personal information.

Information we collect

Information you provide. The site does not require registration. If you contact us or submit a data correction through our report form, we receive the information you choose to send, such as an email address and the details of your message. We use that information only to respond to you and to correct the underlying data.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools automatically record standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring and exit pages, and the dates and times of your requests. All trading data on this site originates from public disclosures filed by members of Congress. We do not collect financial information about our visitors. The trading records describe public officials, not site users. While we take care to parse and present these filings accurately, the underlying disclosures are prepared by the filers themselves and may contain errors or ranges; see our methodology for details.

Your choices

Because we do not require accounts, there is no profile to edit or delete. You can clear cookies at any time, opt out of personalized advertising as described above, and use browser "Do Not Track" signals. If you have contacted us and want your message and email address removed from our records, let us know and we will delete them.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy
