Representative Michael A. Rulli (R-OH) took 400 days to report a stock sale, according to a disclosure filed in late June. The STOCK Act gives lawmakers 45 days after execution to file.

The slowest trade in the filing, a sale of GOOGL (Alphabet Inc.) executed on July 3, 2025, was not reported until June 2026. That delay exceeds the legal window by 355 days. The sale was valued between $1,001 and $15,000 and was in Rulli's own account.

The filing also includes two buys of GOOGL, both in June 2026, each between $1,001 and $15,000. All three trades fall within the same 12-month period, from July 2025 to June 2026.

Date Type Amount Owner

Rulli, a first-term Republican who took office in June 2024, sits on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Education and Workforce Committee. His subcommittee assignments include Health, Oversight and Investigations, and Energy. Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is one of the largest technology firms in the world and is subject to antitrust and data privacy oversight in both committees.

This is not Rulli's first late filing. His career record shows 32 total trades, and at least one other disclosure has lagged the 45-day requirement. The STOCK Act, passed in 2012, requires lawmakers to report most securities transactions within 45 days of execution. Late filings are common, but a 400-day gap is on the extreme end.

GOOGL currently trades at $354.52, with a 52-week range of $196.60 to $408.61. The stock is widely held by members of Congress; 110 lawmakers have traded GOOGL in the same period.

Rulli's office did not respond to a request for comment on the delay. The disclosure was filed electronically, which means the data is public. The House Ethics Committee has not announced any action related to this filing.
